give me some critique guys

strayed away from the tut a bit with the image and idea but same basic concept



Edit: looking at it now you can tell the dragon and the castle are of 2 different qualities :/

Imma just keep it short.
*Castle is LQ and out of Place.
*Fire is out of Place.
*Dragon covers pretty much the entire canvas, (big & massive wings = bad).
*Dragon is way to big compared to castle, unless its a toycastle.
*As a whole its oversharpened.
*Its flat.

By out of Place I mean its poorly blended together.
My advise is to keep it simple for now, stay with one focal and read beginner tutorials.

Hey, doesn't look too bad. As Tzl said keep it simple and stick to the tut for now. When you feel you've learned something from the tut, move on. Try to expand into different styles and find what you like. If you post work frequently I'll be sure to track this thread. It's great to see someone who is truly trying to progress.

I haven't looked over them so I can't speak to their quality. One of the regulars has a great list of tuts to keep you busy. Hopefully someone will post it.

The flames are where they originally are in the render.. I could crop it and move it closer and above his tongue

i know i Wil get 2 or 3 done a week as the only time I have to do them is at work.
