Hey guys, this is a logo (2nd draft) that I'm designing for a local business that is an all-in-one bar, restaurant, club, and travel agency called Punto Cero. They'll be opening in a few weeks, and they're located in Antigua, Guatemala.
Here in Antigua we have what are called "faroles," which are basically antiquated street lamps. Antigua is a UNESCO protected city, which means all of the architecture, the street lamps included, have been preserved in their appearance in the 1800s. The concept for this logo is based on the idea of street lamps, or lights in general, being a meeting place 50+ years ago. Punto Cero, or Point Zero in English, is that type of business. It serves as a way for people new to town (we have many travelers and backpackers) to get to know each other and possibly even travel together.
I tried to use the P and the C to create a stylized and slightly modernized version of the "farole," because now, instead of meeting under a street lamp, people meet at places like this.
Tell me what you think. All constructive criticism would be highly appreciated.
