Hey guys, this is a logo (2nd draft) that I'm designing for a local business that is an all-in-one bar, restaurant, club, and travel agency called Punto Cero. They'll be opening in a few weeks, and they're located in Antigua, Guatemala.

Here in Antigua we have what are called "faroles," which are basically antiquated street lamps. Antigua is a UNESCO protected city, which means all of the architecture, the street lamps included, have been preserved in their appearance in the 1800s. The concept for this logo is based on the idea of street lamps, or lights in general, being a meeting place 50+ years ago. Punto Cero, or Point Zero in English, is that type of business. It serves as a way for people new to town (we have many travelers and backpackers) to get to know each other and possibly even travel together.

I tried to use the P and the C to create a stylized and slightly modernized version of the "farole," because now, instead of meeting under a street lamp, people meet at places like this.

Tell me what you think. All constructive criticism would be highly appreciated.

I think the flame is good so far.
But the P c thing looks quite boring.

Thanks for the feedback. I was going for a modern geometric look, but maybe it's not working.
Do you have any suggestions on how you'd change it?

i didnt know what you were trying to represent until I fully read your description, generally thats not good. I think if you were going for a street lamp you should rotate the c clockwise a bit and make it look more like a street lame while still having it be fairly obvious its a p and c.

all the width's of the elements have no relationship, just keep refining your idea.

I'd probably tone back on the pc combo thing, as a c sits on the baseline and the p is quit far from the baseline, you'd have to but the business name above the p for it to work, which would probably create visual noise.

why not try something like this, feel free to explore this direction:

excuse the shittyness but this is for example only.

Fair enough, I originally (and linearly) put the flame orb at the top to represent the "meeting under a street lamp" but it also gives a nice weight stack (heavy -> medium -> light)

the thing i dont like about putting that flame in the O is the O gets somewhat lost and the readability goes down.

heres a few more literal ideas (just drew them up really fast)
