I was just wondering about some basics, I've hardly used clay, all I know is slip score smudge smooth but nothing about forming a piece other than the pinch method and coiling

it cant be more than in inch thick of solid clay, so obv hollow out a form.

you can also build a little miniature armature out of newspaper that will just burn up anyways

ah didn't know that, no one people make bowls it has to be hollow
easiest way to hollow would be to form it then pinch in throughout the piece or make the form starting hollow?

its so small i dont think it will really matter

do you guys have a damp room?

try to keep it wrapped and leather hard, which is the easiest stage to carve at. if it gets bone dry its pretty useless at that point
