Here's what I have so far after about two hours. I'm doing it with a mouse. Enjoying it so far, so will probably cough up the funds to get a pad soon. Keep in mind this is my first time trying this. I will post new works as I progress and come up with new ideas.

Here's what I have so far.

Start with simpler objects or your going to have to UNLEARN a bunch of shit.

larger canvas, larger brushes, start with still life simple pieces like objects and 3d shapes (spheres, cubes, etc)
get lighting and values correct

practicing with a mouse is pointless, get a tablet or just use pencil and paper

Did more toning. Brushed in the upper eye lashes. Defined some of the edges a little.

I'm inclined to agree with this, you're not going to get far with the mouse from what it seems. But yeah, bigger brushes bigger canvas

I'm bored. So figured I would give digi painting a try by doing a signature sized image.

Another update. Taking a break now.




/e moved the pupil, but not sure if I like the placement. Seems a little off.
