oh shit. I didnt realize you wanted to attempt. I misread your post and thought you were busy painting.. .and you didnt comment on the render etc.

Overall, i think v1 fits better for my eye. If it wasn't that white in right of 2nd, it would definitely give my vote to it - i like colors, contrast and atmosphere of it.

1st is so peaceful. Too peaceful for that render. But i like its softness and clean colors with well-executed depth.

If you count my vote in any way, you can give it to 1st

just to say a few things, the flow/typo/lighting from number one are smex and the texture/effects/colors from number two are smex
