How does this armor get 2726def with 199ed?
Perf def with 200ed should be 2703def.

What Teckie is saying is the max defense on sacred armor is 601. (per Diablo wikia. it is 600 on amazon basin)

When you factor in Ethereal: 601 x 1.5 = 901.5

When you factor in +200% Enhanced Defense: 901.5 + (901.5 x 2) = 2704.5

Or overall: 601 x 1.5 x 3 = 2704.5


His overall main point is that the highest possible defense on that armor is 2703.

The armor pictured is 199% ed, but somehow has a higher max armor value than a perfect roll.


I will not claim to be an expert, but I tried my hand at the calcs and understand what Teckie is saying.

I will wait to see what others say and possibly expand my understanding.
