Wrong Stygian would still beat a matri in damage, even with 150% less ED, 2AMA is good for attack rating increase and dodge/crit %'s not getting screwed up when switching , +2 jav... not really as important.

Use a damage calculator, the average damage of mat javs and stygian are nearly identical with the stats mentioned, but mats have the advantage of +2 skills.
