I'd like to see the basis for your 1/94,400,000,000,000,000 calculation.
I don't think MaxRoll is wrong about 1/888,000 - but that's the chance to spawn a magic item with 200% ed and repair dura. I guess with the Larzuk 50% it would be 1/1,776,000. That's still quite rare...
It's difficult to drop Eth SAs, and that rarity isn't factored into the 1/888k. The 1/888k is for the odds to roll 200% ed rep off a unid magic eth SA - how many of those have you ever found playing D2?
To morons saying it isn't a trophy and posting vanilla D2 exploited items, this is probably the best zeal or conc armor on d2r - so... yeah, shh, you don't know what you're talking about. It's gg.
Also lol @ comments that you can shopbot eth items. Why don't you try selling an eth item to a vendor and see if you can buy it back? Ever wonder why all the hybrids were non-eth? :P
Is the 1/888k not simply the odds of finding it on the easiest to find base? Maxroll says those odds for finding those exact stats on any armor including crappy lower tier ones. I actually don’t think the 1/888k odds is to find these stats on a SA at all. That’s the entire problem with maxroll and why it’s incorrect. Or so I was told.
I actually don’t care whether the math is correct or incorrect. But I do find it interesting that maxroll might be way off the mark.
Kind of reminiscent of what happens with other item types. You’ll see several 30-40ias 29X ED fools erep Elegant Blades and maybe 1-2 zerks and no mallets (yet). You’ll see several 15ed 65/121 STs but like 1 Vortex.
