I don't know for now, but when I was playing BVB, any kind of weapon could be used in a duel. The outcome may differ depending on range, but not only. A duel is not simply two entity A and B clashing. After years of duelling, I saw that the gear do a part of the duel, that's true, but you can't say at 100% that the gear will give you a win. For a win, you the user, need to focus and don't loose your calm. I saw and met monsters loosing their calm and being defeated, despite an overhelming gear. Once I tested one thing, I went in the charsi's shop and bought a weapon for a duel and tried to fight with it. The outcome was surprising for me.

Anyway, forgive me, this is not the place for such theme. His barbarian is well made, but for use it he will need more than simply being able to move.
