further clarification on the ias from javs:
I play MLD, some people were talking about the max frame rate and needing ias on stygians.
in HLD a zon is usually wearing:
3sox helm 45 ias
cats eye 20ias
gloves 20 ias
belt 10ias
ie. more then 92 ias to fire @ 7fpa (ideal!)
on switch the ama will have a stormshield and titans or a rare high ed weapon (gogo 4xx ed!).
as such, the ias on switch is :
3sox helm 45 ias
cats eye 20 ias
gloves 20 ias
belt 10ias
= 95.
the fastest throw attack rate [fury] with matri javs is attained @90ias. ie. more ias is useless for fury.
the fastest jab attack rate with matri javs is attained @120ias (short 30ias)
Brainpowers javs (listed here:
http://forums.d2jsp.org/index.php?showtopic=30758964&f=103 ) have 20ias. he has already reached the maximum fury speed without them and only needs to socket his storm with a 15ias/40ed to reach the fastest jab frame rate (used vs other zons). what i am basically saying here is that if the matri javs did not have 20ias he would still be firing fury's at the maximum speed, however his jab would be 1 frame slower (not a big deal). However, this is one of the reasons why his javs are so good for HLD (the 20ias).
my stygians are another matter. they have a slower base speed and therefore in HLD, without ias from the weapon its impossible to reach the maximum attack speed with fury ( 125ias for stygians) as with the items listed above, the maximum ias would be 45 + 20 + 20 +10 +(15storm) = 110 ias (missing 15 ias). The same applies for jab, 135ias needed. impossible in HLD without ias on the weapon, or using a 60ias 160 ed armour (with life please, ty). Gep's had 40ias 4xxed, hence, no matri javs could possibly beat them, even perfect 450 ed +max matri javs would not beat them (as listed above, the +dex bonus blows matri's out of the water).
However!
I dont duel in HLD, im MLD, and therefore my shield options are alot broader. Yes, ias on the weapon would be great, but i can still reach the maximum rate of attack with both fury and jab by simply socketing my shield with x3 15ias 30 ed (max for lvl) solves all my ias problems.
in a nutshell:
HLD's that use rare stygians would kill for ias as without them you cant attain the maximum speed without sacrificing either Forti or Storm.
MLD's can reach the maximum speed regardless due to the unavailability of both forti and Storm.
This is one of the reasons why HLD's will rate them poorly while MLD's will rate them highly.
