its the most comprehensive tool out there to the best of my knowledge and I trust it to give me accurate results given that I want to know simple stuff
the odds of rolling a given blue item seems like a rather basic calculation to me so I trust this information to be accurate

you may find issues with dmg calculations with crit dmg and ias bps being all over the place but for this very use case I'd say it stands until proven wrong

The drop calculator thing is wrong too. There’s too much stuff wrong with that website. I don’t really care to prove it though, I think pumpkins math was sound?

Also I think the specific way people found it to be inaccurate was because of the desired base or something. SA is the most rare armor type kind of like legendary mallets for weapons. And maxroll refuses to calculate that into their website. It will tell you the same exact drop chance for a SA vs like a breast plate which is patently incorrect

I mean, no one takes Maxroll seriously. I'm pretty Pumpkin's math was filling in the blanks that the developers of that website intentionally exclude for whatever reason. Again, they don't factor in the type of base, which drastically influences its chance of dropping.

This website is extremely off the mark and does not even provide a good ballpark most of the time, so feel free to disprove Pumpkin's math using NOT maxroll because this relevant line of info:

Sacred Armor is part of Treasure Class 87 in the game files, not sure how that works but it's basically the rarest stuff to drop, and it shares it with a bunch of other weird items like Ogre Gauntlets, Bloodlord Skull, so its chances of dropping go down even further because its competing with all of that weird stuff...

so you think when you factor in all base items with all rarities and all possible modifiers in every conceivable permutation you get 1/94400000000000000 for this to drop on any given drop in an area where SA's can spawn?

It seems like you're just putting random words together in sentences rather than disproving Pumpkin's math. Pretty sure his math is sound and calculates in the insane drop chance of a SA, then an eth one, then one with 200ed *AND* repair, and I'm not sure what additional math needs to be done to factor in Larzuk's 50/50 chance. But until someone can disprove that with their own accurate math (aka not Maxroll, where they admit themselves their math is inaccurate), I'm kind of inclined to believe him.
It's also not just where SAs can spawn. Because Treasure Class 87 is crowded (more crowded than other treasure classes), it has an even lower chance to drop than stuff in lower treasure classes on top of it being already rare to drop because its in the highest Treasure Class. I'm not sure you're grasping just how rare this is, and this is exactly why they were unnaturally created in LoD lol. People want items that are simply unrealistic to find.

I'm open to believing the chances are better than 1/94400000000000000 to be clear, I'd just like to see the math.

This is also why stuff like coveted Vortex Exile bases go for thousands, 15ed 65ed/121ar ... just another dumb shield base but Vortex is part of this insane treasure class and it never drops. A 15ed 65ed/121ar Sacred Targe would and does go for much less
