Wow... I just spent a very long time reading every single comment on this thread... Learned a bunch of stuff! I never knew about all the behind the scenes drama and hierarchy of D2.. I was just playing this game with my older brother back in 2005 just because it was the first game I played (besides Halo 2 and arcade games)..

And you know what, Im not ashamed to say that back then, I was grinding to get Tal Rusha set because I wanted to be like my brother who manually mf'd and got his own gear and pvp'd with self found gear/trading in public games...

Although im not gonna lie, I had an obsession for using hacked items because I remember one time I accidentally logged into "Other Multiplayer" instead of Bnet and I joined a random game (Which happened to be a drop mod) and I swear that drop mod had act 1 monsters dropping hacked set pieces and instantly made me fall in love with Hacking/Glitching/Modding/Any type of exploiting.. Which would Overcome my passion to play almost any game I picked up from then on... I always did the bungie jumps on Halo 2.. Always had friends that would use their JTAG for Halo 3 modding and later I evolved to hosting my own COD 4 free modded lobbies and continued throughout all the other Cods/Borderlands etc.. All this made me realize one thing.. At least in my case, having the power to do things that werent meant to be done is so satisfying.. And having the power to give that power to other people was even more rewarding..

BTW.. Unless my PC was glitching out.. I seen Drake appear online then back to offline 2 times since I've been reading this thread.. HE STILL LURKS... hahaa

my brother played it earlier on.. and I didnt really get IN to diablo until 2005.. Before then I would just stay in act 1 killing things on my brothers chars for 10 min and get off lol.. I dont count that as actually playing diablo tho.
