Re: Nec Amulet - D2R:



In terms of Nec amulets @ level 30, indeed for most caster amulets at level 30, the starting point to my mind is something like ~ 2/10/3xlife/7x mana. After that the next mod sought is replenish life. The replenish life mod on amulets is typically the dividing line between what is considered a trophy and what is not. A 6th mod would be nice but a 5 mod 2/10/60/10repl/90 I would rate 10/10 and it would sell for a bomb. The reason why I say a 5 mod can be 10/10 is because the 6th mod cant bring much to the table at LLD compared to at HLD, where a 6th mod could be mass stats (at 30 you cant get much stats, 6str? 9 dex?)

I would rate Raven Wing (below) 9.5/10 (best i ever saw yet life roll low and 6th mod is not optimal) with Eagle Collar close behind on 9/10. The rest would be 7~8/10.

On that basis, 2/10/60 (the all res is nice but we would prefer mana or repl life) would be around 6/10, while accepting that it will still sell well noting there are very few good nec amulets in circulation (this applies to all lld amulets/items, due to undersupply and overdemand). The problem with the D2r Amulet is it does not have mass mana. In a climate were very few ppl have an invent of 15life/12mana small charms, you are trying to eek out as much mana from gear as possible, so well, its a pity this amulet does not have mana. For res a Necro can Viper (35) and Anya (30) needing only 10 res from elsewhere to be 75 all res ( why all res is nice but not required on lld amulets).

Here is a D2r Blizz LLD Amulet. It looks quite plain, the rolls on life and mana are not great. I would rate it 7/10, and yet people would rip this off me in the current climate. If it had rolled 80+ mana it would be in the top 10 best ever seen. The blizz playstyle craves mana over life and repl life over life, so low life roles (or even no life rolls) they can live with (fire and light amulets should be skills/fcr/life/repl/mana though).



Here are the D2og comparables (best seen) ~

I would rate these 3 Chaos Talisman 9/10, Death Gorget 8/10 and Bone Noose 8/10



Also, I saw this paladin circlet earlier (As i cant add more then 3 pictures to a post, i juggled the D2og circlets into the one picture. The Top 1 is D2r, the 3 underneath are D2og OK.

I would rate the D2R circlet (muses) around 8.4/10. If it was 2 sox it would be in the top 5 ever. I lost my screen of the #1 (2/20/30/60/90/15 <- item lame ok)
I would rate the D2of circlets as follows: Doomvisor 8.5/10 (needs 2 sox and more life), Dread Cowl 8.7/10 (needs 2 sox), Rune Hood 8/10 (needs 2 sox and life) and Loath Visor 8/10 (needs 2 sox and life)

This is the best MLD Bowa Jewel I have seen so far in D2r:

I rate it as 9.6/10



Here is the D2og version "Storm Gyre". This Jewel, Storm Gyre, was the No.1 Jewel in D2 for MLD bowa's on Euro for well over 10 years. I rate it 9.8/10



Storm Gyre was replaced in latter years by a 30ed adds 10-18 Jewel, which i rate 10/10

thats pretty sick. I dont have comparables for that, i rate that 8/10, MDR to 10 repl and better mana roll please. still awesome (and nothing wrong with MDR)

also the cold amulet above, sold for 1500. 2/10/life/repl/mana these are end game items, and will sell for alot so please dont charsi them.
