If you are using a maxed out energy shield sorceress (which you should with these boots), only 5% of the total damage affects your life, meaning your resistances are not going to be as important if you were a vita sorc.

If you build the sorc correctly... (with enough mdr and mana regen) you will effectively take 0 dmg. Thats why these boots are gg

Once mana goes down, life takes 100%. 1500+ life is always worth backing up, not to mention you usually can't really get mdr to negate damage taken by low res life through es.
