As a long term d2/d2 legacy player. D2R is very well done.

It has been done terribly.

And I’ve sold 99% of my legacy gear before/slightly after d2r announcement.


It’s a shit game developed as a money grab to lure nostalgic people back to pvm. Then they made a pvm idiot, llama, the “face” of it, and he is so clueless, he is making suggestions that further devalue the game and make it worse than the original.

The only good thing about d2r is the graphics. But d2 didn’t survive because of graphics.

Who watches Mr. Llama anyways.. As someone who knows as much as you do about d2 just carry on. I don't see these flaws that you are claiming. I've played D2 since 2008 and was heavily into PvP. I do PvP on D2R and I'm failing to see what a handful of you hardcore legacy players are complaining and bitching about.

You clearly know very little comparative to me if you can’t see all the problems.

Not to mention the buff to bone nec damage that is otw. Which has huge implications to pvp, not just because it’s more damage, but because of the hidden fhr life breakpoints that will jump bone damage from a 37.5% chance to fhr someone to a 75% chance to fhr someone.

This is especially trouble some considering bone nec is already a top pvp char.

I have noticed that actually and I agree it is absurd. And you probably do know more than me but the game isn't trash, pvp isn't trash. It's not that bad.

They somehow had 21 years worth of data to help them know what to do and what not to do. And they chose to do the things they shouldn’t.

That’s beyond ignorance.


Especially considering they said they would make no changes to the game and keep it the same, other than give graphics a lift and do minor quality of life improvement such as shared stash.

This was an obvious money grab and completely deviated from what has made d2 a true masterpiece and last 20 years.



The only improvements they have made was to graphics and shared stash. Literally everything else so far, has been a complete shit show. Then when they had a couple good ideas, which I tend to agree with, which is buff under used skills, they decided to buff one of the most powerful pvp skills because llama said necros are not good in pvm. Of which necros are one of the most powerful pvm chars due to Simmons, poison nova, amp, lower resist, and corpse explosion. It shouldn’t be our fault that llama is this stupid.

Very glad I didn’t buy this piece of shit pvm fest.

I’m not against improvements to the game, such as buffing under used skills, which I think the vast majority of people can agree upon. Namely Druid fire skills, and the entire barb combat tree except WW, berserk, and concentration. But they somehow managed to fuck up one of the most known skills in all of d2, WW. And yet they have shown no appetite to fix it, or understanding its fucked up.

Mini WWs, or what is called tri-whirl, is by far the most effective way to whirlwind based on WW mechanics and it’s hit frames.
