Furthermore, Dax got an axe under similar circumstances and it still exists. Something doesn't fit here. Let me propose a scenario that is much more likely than your little fairytale:
You traded for the axe on November 07, 2008. You were excited and showed many people. Four days later, the great ban of 11-11-08 occurred. Not wanting to be exposed as a hack user, and hoping to gain some sympathy, you claim the item deleted.

Simple posts as these show others how your a pathological lier.
Imported gear = 0/10. Especially when you keep originals on mules then trade single copies out as legit.
