Right, but also keep in mind that a sorc does have a faster block speed then necros/druids/zons(in most cases). The block speed hasn't been much of an issue, and the stats from spirit help vs all other types of chars.

9 frame blocking, when a zon with ss gets 3 frames

druids and necros are the only chars with longer block frames, no zon wields a club.
