99% of them feel like they're parroting a previous guide rather than trying out different setups

Cute but the best gf boots are probably mana crafts for the regen.. it’s literally the only annoying thing that happens on a leap gf barb’s run is teleporting in and getting mana dropped immediately lol.

Some 30frw/gf/mf+light res w/decent regen% would be sick IMO.

yeah i think the dependence on mana pots can get a bit annoying.

I don't care how often people repeat "FIRE RES IS THE BEST" when the fact is you take no damage from hydras but get completely annihilated by lightning enchanted.
spreadsheets should also be pretty clear about fire res being irrelevant given how hydras behave, but most of the popular guides i see always spew the same 15-year old garbage advice.

i tried every setup i've read about, from cookie cutter wealth/CoT to the alternatives, including not leaning on the merc, and i'm at the point where I'm clearing hell trav sub-1 minute consistently & gold capping to 10.9~ in 20 mins

it's not about how I feel, it's about how runs play out in practice.
it's the same reason why "Leap locking" is a good strategy if you want to just tune out & run it with little effort, but it's incredibly time-inefficient due to the pushback & the merc walking speed, compared to Tele'ing in with a Gavel of Pain AmpDmg + staying in melee spamming War Cry/Find Item to gtfo as soon as possible
