for showing belt you must have it empty / put everything u got in belt in trade windows

Or fast drink those 4 pots before show up gear, usually it is asked.. But that was just example, personally i don't think that anyone of AoW community used Mana pots.

yeah ofc, but anyway you have to show 4 tp scrolls so it will be hard to buy mana back anyway. ofc anyone who like AoW got a sort of pride for it lol.
Btw back in old rules you had to fill all belt slot with tp scroll, it was rly a pain in the @ss when it came to show gear lol

So you have to show your belt after every single time you heal at Akara? Sounds like a shitshow to me. Might as well call the contest half dueling half belt showing. I was around since the beginning of classic, and the only regulations I remember of that forbade mana use were character specific to ES sorcs.

If you show me one ladder competition using such unpopular rule regarding pots that has attracted more than 10 people I'll gladly shut up.

Duels in AoW are made in Normal mode, i don't think any of AoW players want waste time for 4 x Minor Mana potion...

Clearly the belt show (as whole inv / equip) must be done only if requested, so you have to be a pervert irl to ask for that every akara kiss.

I will never tell you or anyone to shut up but here you can find an (old) example, if you google you can find more, this kind of rules were popular back than.

Fair enough. Sounds to me like this is more based on trust. I still don't see why your mana should be part of equation for testing your characters fortitude, but if you can gather enough interested folks then I guess so be it. You can win by simply dodging wws and draining opponents mana. This would also create long and boring duels. As I said before, there's still no way to sufficiently enforce this. The game just wasn't built for this.

This is the first time I'm hearing of any sort of competition forbidding use of mana potions. Not only it's unearthly stupid but you also can't sufficiently enforce it.

lld started banning mana pots back in like 2004 to force players to play more aggressively and reward people for finding high mana gear (back in the days where bots did not keep lld gear)
All it did was make people stack mana, rep and mana regen and play more defensively. It made pskulls even better than they already were.

ring is 0/10
low life, no rep, no fcr. Any build that could use it would want at least one of those three.
