Paladins aren't really that hard to beat, and defense only plays a very small part of how much better they are now than in 1.09, but the main problem now is that a few weeks after 1.10 was released, a lot of people were complaining about zeal whiffing if the paladin was hit during a series of zeals, and so they made it uninterruptable.
Zeal was never intended to be made uninterruptable and I believe it is an unintended glitch caused by the departure of the original D2 team and the horrible coding skills of the team that took over.
Also, the guy talking about ebugged - 3 socket weapons couldn't be ethereal. The chip recipe rerolled them to noneth.
And to the guy who says botdz is too slow - it isn't too slow and if you want to rape zealots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner you will use one.
