30/20% do not needs at all, easy max block on paladin.
It needs instead that mod 50-60 Life "of colossus" 4 Sock "jewelers" and it had usage in Smiter paladins.

Magic items are not really trophies,
"colossus" are pretty great tho

Smiter shield,
D2r Phoenix Runeword is now fixed by blizzard fire casting with smite attack so smiters can use Phoenix finally.
465% Enhanced damage >
(In d2lod fire casting was making smite attack damaged,
was making it not usable, thats why Jewelers of Colossus shields were used instead)

Phoenix shield has 40% ctc so it’s banned. Besides that you’re right for once, that is if this was for a zealot, but based on its runes it’s not.

Banning Fixed item for paladins by blizzard after 20+years,

Anything that has over 5% ctc and or elemental damage has always been banned, just because any noob can rock a Phoenix and compete doesn’t make it automatically gm.

There is a reason people want pre patch torches, that is because it works.

so you wouldnt use Torches and all Rare weapons and armors probably in D2R

I dont remember such rule in Smite duels.

We used Legacy 25% Torches allways in melee, smite and all duels in our chars without any problem.

But i doubt 2021 acc did.

And Phoenix, gasp, gives 50 life and a shit ton of damage.


VT is all about how to get the most out of damage, life (survivability), and FCR.

Of which when you don’t need 75fcr, Phoenix by far offers the most in terms of all of that.
