With your weapon 1-100 dmg
And mine weapon 50-51 dmg
If we both have 100 Life or 4000 Life dosent matter.

In 10-15 Seconds Duel

Face to Face walk to opponent and attack him:

More Deadly Strike with More Minimum Damage with great Average damage = Win.

Example:

250-400 Damage Weapon >>>>>>>>>> 100-550

And any weapons with 15-500 or 27-550 damage are GARBAGE damage in so fast face to face 10 seconds melee duels

Im not disagreeing saying that cryptic sword is trash.

It’s trash because it’s a -10 base weapon.

Over the long term, a weapon with 1-101 damage will be better than a weapon with 50-51 damage.

Of course you can pick a single duel where the 1-102 loses because due to RNG, it rolled with all low damage rolls. Just like I can pick out a duel where I kill you 2 times faster than you can kill me, because I rolled with all high damage rolls.

But 1-101 is 51 average damage. 50-51 is 50.5 average. Meaning in the long term, the 1-101 will provide a higher performance, because it does more damage.

It’s just simple math lol.

In the duel that lasts 10 seconds,
i will kill you with better Minimum damage weapon and same Average dmg weapon.

Again, 250-400 >>> 100-550

Its already tested by everyone who did zeal vs zeal,

Thats Why the weapons are Different Damage Ranges
And Different Attack Speeds
Else blizzard will make All the weapons just Same Dmg Range

Weapon like Legendary Mallet is best Damage base item in the game,
Fools one is 300-400 Dmg so you are hitting everytime 300 and more

It is Killling Faster than Berserker 140-500 Dmg,

But Blizzard made Faster Weapons lowet Minimum Damage and Average Damage,
Because can be used in Fury Druids for more Attack speed or any different reasons like Whirlwind Barb attack speed..

Attack speed can be reached Easyly so Damage weapon bases and Minimum Damage bases >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Rng is rng with same average damage.

with a sample size of 1 or 10 or 50, there isn’t enough times to account for all the variances in data. But a simple simulation will show you, if average damage is the same, they perform exactly the same.

If all things being equal, the only difference is the average damage of the weapon, the weapon with the higher average damage, regardless of min or max values, will perform better.
