The problem with people like you is that you have no idea about builds or gear viability. There is a thing called opportunity cost. And the opportunity cost of not having 2 sockets is significantly greater than the value 20 res provides.

however for 1v1 i would disagree. Dex < Life in all matchups but vs hdin. Extra AR vs extra socket is very debatable, 2os give ~62 more dmg on ww tooltip at the cost of ~1k ar gained through more 3/20/20s for 1vs1. Def a stretch to call it a temp and i'd argue that the #1 bvc circ on d2r does make it a trophy mr problem with people like me

It’s about how do you maximize all the different stats your chatavher needs with the different gear and their stat combo.

Simply because on barb, that you need AR, and max life on a rare circlet is 60, and 1 stat = 4 life, it’s most effective to get 20 Dex over 60 life. As 80 > 60.

Additionally given the barbs life, 60 life on circlet, which will be around 130 life after BO, the 130 life is not enough to enable you to take an extra spear.

So even in the matchup you suggest, the 60 life doesn’t actually do anything
