I had 63/58 JSTOC on LoD west and with the right jewels it killed FAST (smite)

8/10 because it's missing a bit of life.

Didn't think I would see one of these in D2R for a long time.

Also Kurast Shield is a good base for this because CB causes you to also hit for max shield smite damage while retaining enough block.

what's your source to this? it's bs since CB is calculated seperately from your hit damage and takes 1/10th of your opponents current life in pvp when applied.

so you could even use a simple targe (normal shield) and still do the same CB damage as with a sacred targe or kurast shield, just the base smite damage is ofc lower.
