the key for undestand all this things is that wallet warriors banned a series of items in order to have tournament where who spend the most is the winner.
this leads to have characters with 300$ weapons and 300$ armor that would be outperformed badly by 10 fg grief and 10 fg forty.

its too good for its price so click-n-hold leagues banned it.
they want to keep the rare fools items high price so fools pay muchos.

It's sorta this but mostly the fact that grief is broken in every single way and would be used by everyone all the time as the ONLY option, so it's better to just ban it.

would be true to promote diversity but then why ban poison damage, too much elemental damage, slow target, etc etc
