For the sake of calculations, lets suppose two javs with 450ed eth and rep. One matri, the other stygian.

Bonus to %ed from stats supposing you have a zva (I used my own zon)
(237 + 158) x 0.75 = 296.25
237 x 0.5 + 158 x 0.8 = 244.9

Before adding all the other bonuses, stygians win since there's 296% ed compared to 244 on matri and it represents a larger margin.
But it changes somewhat when the numbers get bigger.

((393 + 80) x (100 + 820 + 296.25)) / 100
((415 + 80) x (100 + 820 + 244.9)) / 100

simplified
473 x 1216.25% = 5752 stygian
495 x 1164.9% = 5766 matri

As you can see, matri wins. But only when you use a lot of %ed.
For example, if you were to use SS instead of phoenix shield, the stygians will win.

One thing to note however is that matris can spawn with +skills, and they are faster, and you will be less susceptible to being at 10fpa from someone using slow gear.
