TBH I've never considered res when it comes to PvM beyond 40res from torch and anni. I'd try to mf+res SCs, but would never give up war travs for these. I've only ever made paladin/sorc chars to MF, which wouldn't benefit from these. If these sell, I assume they'd be used for PvP.
I see theres a lot of PvP players commenting on this item. You are of course very welcome to, but it seems many of you regard PvM as overly easy and not something you want to min/max in.
In regards to how this item is better or worse than generic uniques, it all depends on how you choose to build your setup. Yes, WT gives you 50% mf, but less frw and 0 resists. Other boots give some resists, but no MF or FRW.
PvP for me is a lost cause. And the retorics in the posts below pretty much sums it up. D2R to me is not a sport - its meditation.
These boots allow for my BoS mosaic to have 75 cr/ 75fr/ 50lr without spending inventory space for looting and still boosting my FRW and MF percentages. To me, and a huge part of the PvM community, the ability to loot beyond the cube is something to strive for.
Looking at inventory space, trying to make up for the MF, I would have to use 4 small charms of 7mf. The lack of FHR can be mended by 2. Tho I cant say I feel the need for FHR on a PvM mosaic sin.
I always build my chars for P8, as I have my own setup to enjoy the endless free roam of the moors without interference from...... Ill let you fill that out
Tho I do service a large amount of PvP players as they grind for their chars to reach 99.
