if you're from LoD with zero d2r experience, it'd take a while to recalibrate. we don't have dupes; blizzard finally became somewhat aggressive against botting to save face leading up to d4, and there isn't an abundance of items from the last 20 years to pool from.

regarding the specific bvc case you mentioned, idk, cuz i'm not a bvc player, but it's always good to have a wide array of gear to choose from in your massive shared stashes so you can optimize for all kinds of matchups. it's very much a dynamic thing between players/teams, not static.

I understand the economic meta in d2r. i more meant i didnt know how the 2.4 changes to viable builds affected specifically bvc helm options for team duels.

i suppose there exists a case where a bvc would want a COA with dmg and fire stack duel in case they're dueling a team that has a v/t using convic and a fire sorc. but that case seems fringe enough to push the jewel from trophy status. jewel could roll 30ed/10ares/40 res / -15reqs afaik.

You use COA for DR using 2x Ber in it. If you aren’t using coa for DR, you would use either arreats or guillames or a 2/20/vis circlet. Of which none of these do you need - req for.

Nor does having 2 resist options on a jewel, especially all res / single (unless it’s 40 cold res) is ever ideal. Barb gets so much from runes as opposed to jewels for bvc.

Yes but it’s very easy to find a 3 mod useful jewel, which is all that this is. The - req is completely useless. And if you are looking to stack Resist for team duels, having 2x sinfle resist is much more valuable than all res/ low single res.


This jewel has jo functional uses and there are tons of better 3 mod jewels out there than this.

No one that knows what they are doing would ever use this jewel. Let alone it being considered a trophy.
