The Naga in your profile is not bad either

This is a MLD Light circlet I picked up in D2r. It would have had more value if it spawned as a circlet and without mana leech (AFAIK its both of those mods which make it over level 30, i.e. 39 and 40 respectively). It is still very good for MLD, but at MLD (49) the door is open for 3Light/3Cold/3Fire/20fcr/2sox magic. When you consider that most MLD Sorc's would use 10 Skillers (1/30life), the best way to look at such magic circlets/coronets is by replacing 1 GC 1/30 with x3 20/17, in this way you can compare non-frw rare circlets with magic ones.

i.e. 3/20 2sox = 2 / 20 / 2 sox + 30 Life + 51 mana. When you consider that the best stat jewels for Fire/Light (Cold uses x2 facets ok) are 7fhr/9str/9dex/10 allres) that would look like this:
2element/20fcr/30life/7fhr/105 mana(51+(18x3)54 mana)/10 all res. It is for this reason that non FRW circlets at MLD are almost always worse then a blue 3/20/2sox.
I think I got that math right, shoot me if I made a mistake.

I rate this circlet 7/10(best seen mld light circlet so far) noting (a) Blue 3/20/2sox may be better in certain matchups (where you just want more damage), it has no life and no 2 sox. its rated worse then the LLD one because the dueling dynamic is different @ mld where your better off with 60 life vita rather then 90 mana es build. i.e. with mana its strong vs the classes a EsLight Sorc will already beat and w/o life its weaker vs the builds it has a harder time to beat.



A comparable life one in D2r would be Kenniacmotto's one (Sarcano/equiv "made" item) (a 10/10):
(with the fixing of anya bug the res on this is a wasted mod on the jewels.

This is the best LLD Bowa Amulet I have seen to date in D2r. I personally prefer 2psm over 1 ama but I appreciate not everyone is of a like mind.
I would rate this a strong 8.5/10. I cant go lower then this noting bowa really only needs skills/life/repl and mana. the cherry on top would be dex, more life/mana, all res or something useful.

This is the best Cold Amulet I have seen so far for level 30:

I rate it a 9/10. If the energy was life then wow (+to Energy is applied after % increase from Frosts/Soj's unfortunately).
if you have something similar be sure not to charsi it lol, they sell for 1000fg+.

I will try to get examples of trophies for each build @ 30 & 49 to provide a better awareness to new and old players as to what "good" looks like (i.e. how to earn fg from lld/mld item finds 101).

I was asked about MLD Bows. A brief summary ~

You want either a Shadow Bow (no ias is fine) a Matri Bow (20ias needed) or a Spider Bow (20ias needed). Spiders are not popular.

Anyway, one of these Bow Bases needsat least 400%ed (450% ed is max)to be considered usable for MLD. i.e. if the damage is less then 400% its probably not good enough unless it has 2 sox. Fools Mod is useless on bows. The problem with all the other bow types is that they are either too slow or they need to be upped, but when upping the bow to the elite version the level requirement goes over level 49, and above level 49 is the Giant of High level amazons - Faith Runeword (making all rare bows obsolete).

So in summary - All other bow bases that have 400+%ed are pretty much useless.

A brief comment re: LLD Bows ~

At Level 30 you are looking for a Double Bow or Ashwood Bow ideally with 20ias and ideally (but not mandatory) with 2 sox. The Max %ed these bows can get while remaining level 30 is 165%. When a decent one comes along I will give a comparison, but until then, keep looking for them (these can also sell very well 1000+). Rogue's bow works for now for alot of players (its a unique bow) and a Robo bow (a 5 sox ashwood bow 15ed) is almost impossible to beat - which is why we see so few good rare Double/Ashwood bows being used. The Robo Ashwood will get either 2 or 3 shaels and then 3 (or 2) jewels. The Jewels would typically be "24maxer" or "20ed/15max" jewels. Both of these jewels sell very well. Better Jewels exist but we will get to that eventually (they are rarer then a JMOD ok).

I am the proud owner of the Imp Rock shield pictured in the origional post.

I bought it for 12k about 2 weeks into launch, maybe 3 or 4 weeks not sure.
I would love 2 sockets but i dont know how it could of gotten any better.

Current jewel is 5str 9dex 16%ed and 13%cold res

I've had other better jewels but nothing so much better than the current that its worth killing the current jewel. Still waiting for something damn near perfect for it.

That jewel makes me feel sick that its wasted in the shield ^^

Back on track, love the shield - best LLD shield I have ever seen

And yeah i know the ed was totally wasted. Hell im sitting on a 6str 9dex +6max jewel right now that im tempted to put into another casters item. I just cant find any 6/9 jewels with caster friendly mods!

Because I like you, I'm going to find you a jewel that would go lovely in the shield. Let me find the topic
