For pvm chars, unique or set offer more value
For PvP, unique or set offer more value, with occasionally blood crafted boots being good.
Rare boots don’t hold any place in d2r. The one exception is if you are try Harding on a hork gold find barb. But would just use infernostride for convenience and cheap factor. The time you spend looking for gf rare boots with 80gf will provide less benefit than using 70gf infernostride and using the time you saved actually doing gold find runs
In LOD, occasionally 08 patch boots were used but because you couldn’t Str glitch most of them, aldurs or blood crafted boots were better as well.
Thanks for your time! I appreciate it. I've always been (for the 3 seasons I've been going all in on trading) amazed by the tri-res boots and the value behind a top pair. I've rarely used them, as I've always just used wt or whatever.
It kind of goes along the lines, why try to perfect a PvM char, when P8 doesn't need perfection.
I think I get what you mean. It does provide something special with a boot like this. But price vs effect is not viable, right?
