Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a +3 +25% Eschutas give more damage then this?

No, not even close.

The damage from the additional +3 skills to Enchant is massive, because it's multiplied by over 400%+ from Fire Mastery and facets. The orb also has higher +fire damage % anyway because 2 facets + 3 points in FM is more than 20% + 1 facet.

A full Eschutas build would be lvl 52 enchant, lvl 49 FM, +421% fire damge, 5915 max Enchant damage.
A full Enchant orb build would be lvl 55 enchant, lvl 52 FM, +427% fire damage, 6448 max Enchant damage.

its a shame i only got 3 fire 2 mastery 3 enchant 2 sockets on d2

mine will drop in time even if it takes decades of searching

I consider this a trophy. Can't really think of a useful 3rd staffmod considering this is probably used to prebuff other characters
