Tips for killing dclone as any class:
1. Prevent monster heal works on dclone but must be applied by the player (not a merc). My favorite easily accessible sources are: edge runeword in a fast shooting bow or woestave halberd. Prevent monster heal lasts around 10 minutes, but may need to be reapplied if you go back to town.
Advantage of edge runeword bow is that it is ranged, has life steal (you see a visual proc), and also innate poison damage so you get two sources of visual indicators that you hit him. Every class has a minimum 5% chance to hit with a physical weapon no matter how bad your attack rating is so if you keep shooting it will eventually proc. Once it procs, switch to your main damage skill and chip him down.
Advantage of woestave is that is applies a 50% slow too so the rest of your fight is easier after you hit him, but it also unfortunately is melee. I only use this if I’m a Druid with bear form and oak sage or something, The Armageddon meteors he calls down around him hit hard. Repeat: Do not do this unless you have a strong life pool.
2. If you are ranged, cathedral map off of the inner cloister wp has doors that are too small for him to go through. Just spawn him there where bone ash would be, come up through one of the side rooms, kill the other enemies around, and shoot him through the tiny doorway, dodge his fire and lightning hose attacks and chip him down after applying pmh.
3. Call a friend if you are unsure. OG or many in OD will come help if you need it. Just reply here or pm. If you do plan to call for help killing, they will generally prefer that you do not spawn clone yet so they can spawn it where it is best/fastest for them. If you spawned it but need help anyway, make that clear in your post / pm along with where he is spawned, and any other helpful info (such as: there’s a cursed/might/Fanat pack nearby and I couldn’t kill sorry).
I used the above methods to kill about 20 clones for peeps in the last walk on my summon Druid. There is something satisfying about watching a pack of forest animals and ravens rip an enhanced super demon to pieces, and honestly it never gets old. It’s not as fast as a well geared Smiter or mosaic sin but well not many things are ;-)
Good luck and happy hunting all!!!
