theres crafting. mining, woodcutting, herbalism for collecting. then things like blacksmithing, carpentry, alchemy, etc.
there are arenas, although 40+ (i think 40, might be 30 or something) gets put in the same category so a level 45 might go up against a level 60, which probably isnt worth trying, and should wait until youre higher up. theres 1v1, 3v3, etc and a few different maps for it
there are guild sieges (once a night, every guild that signs up is put into 1v1 and all matches are at the same set time) which are like battlegrounds, where you cap towers and work your way into the opposite guild's castle across the map. but its guild vs guild and not random groups. its buggy and laggy.
as for the game overall, its pretty fun early, plenty of quests, then when you get higher up instances/raids become more important to get your items. a good guild is important if you want to complete the lategame stuff, but it shouldnt be too hard to find one. the game is heavily cash shop oriented, so if you dont plan on spending real money you will have to invest alot of time if you want to progress (making good enough gear), but it isnt really needed for the first ~50 levels. the character classes are decently made, with the party roles put together nicely.
