I downloaded the client yesterday and installed it, then ran the launcher which went into automatic update mode.

In the update mode, the bottom bar labeled "update" started at 30% and the top bar "download" started at 0%.

The download began moving up, and for about every 2% of Download, the Update bar went up 1% until the download reached 100% and the update stalled at 79% or 80%.

I wondered why it stopped, and after about 15 minutes of waiting with no results, I tried restarting it by running as administrator (since I'm on Vista). The same thing happened, the bars just sit at 100% and 79%. Whenever the download reaches 100%, it asks me to choose a folder to extract the patch into, and I always choose the program file folder for the game but the menu just closes and opens again 3 times. (I do the same thing all 3 times) then it doesn't show again.

If anyone can offer a solution to this problem I would be extremely grateful, thank you!

it supposed to be like that download at 100% and upload at 80% and you need to chose folder runes of magic every time and after you chose that folder it will start again to download but check down right corner you will see some numbers thats patch numbers everytime when start to download again that number will change. last update is 2.1.5.2028

The way the patching works for this game is extremely inefficient. In essence, it starts from the very beginning and patches over and over until it reaches the newest past. This takes quite some time.

Maybe I am misunderstanding you though.

It doesn't start downloading again though, it just stays at 100% and 79%
