i want to figure out the most popular server - i already saw some topics with same idea but still i am not sure about which server is most fun (great guilds, much pro players and so on...)
i saw us artemis few times now - maybe its the most popular?

and another question is about the kind of servers: what difference is between pvp an pve server ??
cause on pve servers its also possible to duell - so why should i join a pvp server when a pve has teamplay AND pvp ??

Artemis is the most populated, and so it goes to reason that it has the highest population of non-retarded players. But it also probably has the highest population of retarded players. Dueling isn't much, especially not in RoM where fights last mere seconds when geared.

PvP server has full-stop open PvP anywhere, any time after level 15. You drop items from PK deaths. Its not recommended for people who don't enjoy PvP. Sadly, 90% of people on PvP servers do NOT enjoy PvP, but roll there thinking they're bad ass PvPers. So, you hear non-stop whining and complaining about people dying in zone, world, guild, whatever chat, and it really gets old (for me, at least). I have all chat except party and whisper turned off. Even people in my guild annoy me with their complaints about getting PK'd, so I keep that off most of the time as well. Diamonds are pretty much a necessity on PvP server, so you'll either be farming a lot to buy them with in game gold from AH, or spending a couple hundred dollars (or more, depending on what you want I guess). Don't know how things are on PvE server, but end game PvE bosses have a lot of AoE damage as well, so you'd still probably need a decent amount of fusion stones.

pretty sure most progression is on Osha and Artemis for the US servers.

i would have to play with english language so i will play on a european server (there i can change language - pretty strange)

biggest thing to go to pvp server for is.. that NOTHING is bounded to you, making your guy much easier to pimp out. and you can do everything in pve that other servers do + you can openly pvp. u dont get ganked like before, if u do drop something its only quest oriented so no big whoop. nothign matter unless ur a twink or your level 50. PVP is where its at. people who get pvp'd are dum sheets who dont know hwo to play their class or jus avoid them til they really want to. GL to watever server, but grimdal (US) server is the best to choose for the most fun. and most drama.
