Hi folks, I've decided I want to at least give Runes of Magic a try since I've been bored senseless lately. So...a couple of questions:

Which server(s) do you play? (Looking around the forums it looks like Artemis is the most popular here)

What kind of early "twinking" can be done via JSP to make my early levels a little smoother if I decide to keep playing?

Any other huge suggestions when starting?

I tend to read a lot before I jump in to a game, so I should be pretty well versed in things like classes/builds.

Thanks for any and all info! If I decide to stick with the game and you're selling something useful on the server I decide it's likely i'll be buying something soon.

be prepared for a long d/l and patching there after (do this over night).

after that enjoy this wonderful game!

I have a post polling RoM jsp members about their server ... Artemis is the most populated US server, if you choose Artemis i can certainly offer "twinking" services. (again i have a post offering my services).

check out http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/, there is a weath of info on there ... too much perhaps for a new player, but it should give you plenty to do while d/l and patching.

Twinking is doable, but expensive. I twink all my new chars (currently play any where form 5-10 on a regular if not daily basis) and have held seminars for guildies on gear modding (complex aspect of this game). Even if you do not choose Artemis I can help you learn the ropes and make gear / build suggestions.

On a sidenote I just got my computer back !
I will be playing on the artemis server aswell.
They replaced my Nvidia 8800 GT 512MB for a Nvidia 9800 GT 1GB for free woohoo ^^
So yeah I should spend a couple of hours leveling and such.
