Well for starters my internet and computer is more than enough to handle this game so it's something wrong with the game/server. I also tried putting video settings for the game to their minimum levels and with everything off just in case.
Whenever I try to start playing I get to for about 30 seconds and it's lag free and fine and out of nowhere i get an error message, a little grey box comes up saying "We can now send an error report blah blah blah" and let's me click ok or cancel and then the client closes and this has been happening for a few hours now I've tried logging in and playing 4 or 5 times now

That's a client issue, not to do with the server. You might try re-installing. I've never had this issue.
