Just a few questions friend at school told me about this. pretty good for free game he said. well basically hows this structured: quest oriented, party oriented, pvp. stuff like that. what would be a good and fun class to start out which could possibly pvp well. thx for the info. lastly any servers that are reccomended for new players, or does it not matter.

pve server is a waste.
pvp server is what you want...since your from diablo 2 i assume, pvp is prefered.

its quest oriented. I dont know about other servers, but on Grimdal you can do about 100 (if ur fast) daily quests a day for free, which are instant quests. Other servers they only let you do 10 per day.
You get about 1 lvl up per day once you learn the system. ive seen someone go from 45-60 in less than a week, but he did so with 100+ daily quests per day. and that cost him $.

ive made a mage/druid and a priest/scout and a priest/rogue

go with mage/priest if you want pvm
go with scout/anything or rogue/anything if you want pvp. warrior doesn't do so bad either.

its very quest oriented. reminded me of WoW in many ways. Easily the best free game ive ever played. I played on osha server and the community at least in that server was unlike any other game ive ever played. if i would need help with something i almost always got a response from somebody and on numerous occasions had random higher level people come help me with some of the harder quests. i would suggest mage/priest for first build. very simple to get the hang of and kills fast

ok cool so the scout/anything rogue/anything are the dps classes im guessing. and the pvp server isnt worth it? meaning that the other servers such as Grimdal and Osha have pvp arena in their own server which is good enuf? or is pvp not that great.

You definately don't want to play on the PvP servers, this is a PvE game pretty much.

The arenas and guild siege wars are enough of a pvp imo

i didn't say that. pvE is useless on any game you play online...
pvP servers let you PK anywhere, pvE servers you have to find people to duel with you, which simply isn't fun.

If your scared of getting slapped around...ya go join a pvE server like the weak.

I think that was where i was confused. so basically pvP is a all out battleground? and
since this game is pvE thats pv everything right?

Also are there differnent kinds of items and such or are they pretty much common in between such as sets and rares. Are there resets or whenever new updates come your character changes just like the ladder reset from d2?

theres always updates. the original lvl cap was 50 i believe, now its 60.

pvM = pvE sorry.

If your into that friendship, lets go kill monsters with 5 people, hellokitty, no action game....then go pvM.

pvp you can PK anywhere except instances. Theres also loot that dead players can drop. So you gotta be careful when your playing pvp.

so would it be a good option to start out in pvp not knowing how to play or not really reccomended XD?
and is there a level limit in which you can not be killed like in diablo you cant hostile anyone under lvl 9.
