Since a few people in LLDpk have posted guides, and I just joined, I decided to post a guide.


Chargers are good because they can be relatively cheap to make, and fun to use, and pretty easy + simple to build.


Items
I'll list the items you could use, and alternative choices (choices are a matter of preference).

Weapon -
Choice #1: Cleglaws Sword - this is cheap and easy to get, socket it with a Max Damage/ED jewel, or just a plain Max Damage jewel, and away you go. It has 50% Deadly Strike which means double damage.
Choice #2: 6 Socket War Axe with Max Damage/ED Jewels. If you can afford the jewels, and don't like to rely on 50% Deadly Strike, then this is the easiest weapon to go for. You'll get nice damage from this weapon.
Choice #3: 3+ Charge/5 Socket War Scepter - this is what I use on my Charger, the 3+ Charge helps with AR and Damage, and I prefer this over the other choices. This may be hard to find though.

Armor -
4 Socket Gothic Plate with Max Damage jewels.
You can socket this with plain Max Damage, or you could use jewels with extra mods such as Attack Rating, Mana, Dexterity, etc...
Some people might suggest Twitch, but for a pure Charger a 4 socket Gothic Plate is the best choice.

Shield -
Any 4 Socket Paladin Shield with ED/AR. 121ED/65AR is the highest possible, you should try to get one with atleast 110ED and 55AR.
This should be socketed with Max Damage/AR or plain Max Damage jewels.
Remeber higher block means you use less Dexterity.

Gloves -
Bloodfists
These are great for Chargers, FHR, Life, Damage, what else would you want?

Boots -
Cow Kings
No need to explain.

Belt -
Deaths Belt for Cannot Be Frozen
Also, you could use a FHR/Life/Mana/Stats belt. On my Charger I have one with 24FHR/Life/Mana/Strength/Other stats.

Rings/Amulet -
Angelics of course, no need to explain this.

Charms -
This is all down to personal preference, you could use plain 15 Life charms, or you could use some Max/AR/Life Large or Grand Charms.
Remember you're going to need some mana too, since using Charge alot will mean you'll need alot of mana.

Skills
Charge - as many as possible here
Might - again, as many as possible

Any spare points should go into Blessed Aim (for passive attack rating bonus).
Or you could add to Smite or Zeal, but the best choice is to max Might and Charge, and then throw the spare points into Blessed Aim.

Stats
Strength - enough to wear all gear, this should probably be 70 for Gothic Plate.
Dexterity - enough for max block.
Vitality - all spare points.
Energy - none.


With my low budget charger I managed to build for less than 100fg, I have over 3k damage, and around 600 Life.
With good jewels and charms you could get around 4k damage, probably higher.


This guide may be a little rusty because I'm pretty tired, but I'm sure someone will correct any mistakes or add in if I've missed anything.

Small thing: Check the ed/ar on the shield, you got them switched.

how do you duel casters, mana/mana regen gear?

for chargers, i thought u nn such high ar from angelics + skills
and that an ar/stat/mana ring was the way to go with angelic amu/ring combo for t'other side.
but then, what do i know... im wasted.

There's always the option of using manald's for life/mana regen

thats what, 40%manaregen with 2? doesnt seem like enough to me. but then again i havent used a lvl 18 charager
on switch could use a 4 soc paly shield with the runes that give 15%mana regn (eth?) and a scepter with +10 rep(this is lvl 12 req) i guess with manalds that would be prety nice when you get low on mana.
