Yup. Again, why is Russia invading a neighbor US-EU's fault? What about when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014? Who's fault was that?
fyi - Ukraine hasn't joined NATO, and Putin doesn't get to decide who defends Ukraine.
And to add, the Warsaw Pact dissolved over 30 years ago.
It looks like you don't know anything about the subject just like skinned lol
Russia didn't want to invade Ukraine in 2014, they wanted to take control of Crimea because NATO expected it to be handed to them on a silver platter once Ukraine would be a NATO member. Crimea is home of the Russian Black Sea fleet and probably Russia's most important harbor. You should also know that the Russians have owned Crimea since 1783 when the Tsarist Empire annexed it a decade after defeating Ottoman forces in the Battle of Kozludzha but they gave it to Ukraine when it was part of the Soviet Union

After the Soviet Union fell apart the Russians leased the all important naval facilities from Ukraine and that lease was later extended
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kharkiv_PactThe EU and the US are solely to blame for the tensions and should have understood long ago that Russia is never going to give up Crimea.
BTW One of the factors Russia determines it's security by is the time it takes for ballistic missiles to reach their targets. Of course having nukes installed on your doorstep is a security issue. Why the hell do you think the West didn't like it when the Soviets were installing nukes on Cuba and the West was prepared to go to war to prevent it. Wake the fuck up guys.
