These guys saying mhw sucks probably also say dark souls sucks because the game can become frustrating. I have less then 200 hours into mhw and have started speed running it already. My main character which has killed everything including end game ubers has around ~90 hours into it has most gear sets made and do just fine against all bosses. if your one of those guys who really enjoys min/maxing sure a grind might take 400 hours because you get random drops but its in the ballpark of like 5% more efficient totally maxing your jewels.
Think you're missing the point... The complaint and question on it was whether or not it's super grindy/boring/tedious playing solo. Difficulty isn't the problem, and there's no such thing as a game that's too difficult. So far the only two people I've heard say that it's difficult are you and the one other guy who's still playing it. I will probably only be playing solo which might actually make it kind of entertaining/difficult, but trying to pretend like people aren't into the game because it's too hard, when it's pretty low overall in terms of difficulty; according to everything I'm seeing besides you and the one other guy here who's playing it still, is pretty nuts dude.
Average play times do seem to be about in the 70-100 hour range for completion, but I couldn't find any info on solo vs team and how that impacts ttb and overall enjoyment of the game. Eh, still going to wait a few more days before I bother fucking with any of these, got three tests this week and I've got no time for games until Friday.

Far cry 5
Wasn't too impressed with the last one I played. Maybe I'll give it a shot down the road.
