The problem with this thought process is that big names can be wrong. Blindly following someone just because of their name isn't a good idea, Tommy.

Yeah... comparing what a guy can do in IPF Worlds definitely equates to his knowledge of the science of biomechanics and how the human body works and adapts to loads.

A phd in nutritional studies and a bachelors in biochem.

Yeah... the guy is a clear expert on biomechanics and muscle activation based on his fields of study.

Yeah because it does not display his ability to learn, analyze data and think objectively.

I am sure a person who has choose the path of academia has decided to not be a life long learner.

Good call.

Increase your frequency, figure out what works best for you in terms of form, and hammer accessories. Big triceps and big shoulders obviously will help your bench, but also a big back/traps since that’s basically the platform off of which you bench. Try to milk as much weight as you can from a linear progression program, then move on to something less simple once you cap out on that.
There’s no real formula to a big bench, some people are just naturally better at it than others and will progress faster. Just gotta stay consistent with the programming and the numbers will come.
@OP - increasing your body weight might also help. We have similar numbers aside from the bench... I’m also 5’9 with long arms, but weigh closer to 195 with a 550ish dead, 500ish squat, and 405 bench
