Answer one question:

Who owns the means of production in Venezuela? The workers, or the small number of wealthy authoritarians who run the government?

That is socialism in practice. The very nature of the "workers" owning the means of production is impossible in a nationwide scale. Even in a regional scale. The only place where socialism can succeed is locally. A tribal form of existence. A regressive mode of economic production.

Public will cannot determine the best manner in which goods are produced unless you have a bureaucratic business class placing the proper options in front of them. And then they can't determine wages since wages are heavily controlled by costs. You have economic chaos.

"Social" democracies are not socialist. Stop letting those red bastards tell you otherwise. Those nations operate on levels of economic freedom that we see here in America.

Leftists don't want socialism, they just want people taxed so heavily that they don't need to purchase health insurance or education.

In literally one paragraph, you said that Venezuela has socialism and then said that socialism is not possible. What gives?

in practice =/= theory. Learn to read you uneducated descendant of surrending sissies. Use the internet (captalist creation by Americans) to use Google or Bing (captialist firm/founded by capitalist firm) on your laptop or smartphones (capitalist innovations) to look up what he is talking about.

Hah, it's the "be thankful for you use technology at the graces of America post" again! For being part of the movement (alt-right) who invented and perfected the "LOL U TRIGGERED" catchphrase, you are awfully inflammable yourself when your cognitive dissonance starts running.

As shown through the paradox in PlasmaSnake101's post, what Venezuela is doing is terrible, and has nothing to do with actual socialism -- theoretically or practically.

Edit: by the way, "surrending sissies", really? Can you name one war in which the USA's participation ended at any means other than retreat sans victory after 1945?

>its not real socialism marx’s book says if we do try it again this way it will work!!!!

isis slapped all over the map. we know this upsets inhumane losers like you. btw without ‘America 1945 and before’ participation youd either be working in a sauerkraut factory under a military empire under the command of Hans Goebbels, descendant of Joseph or a stablehand in some backwater farm under the Kaiser Wilhem IV’s empire (not a descendant of Joseph)

stick to freebasing waffle batter and herring paste you surrendering lefty sissie

Socialism is not possible. Venezuela is the result of this same experiment with socialism, tried and tried again. Same result, every fucking time. Marx's idea of an egalitarian utopia is not attainable. It only ever produces mass poverty and an oligarchy more oppressive to the workers than the bourgeoisie could be in the worse of circumstances.

That's what happens when you attempt socialism. That is socialism in practice. Every time this happens, every time you people say "well, it wasn't real socialism!" It's just dumb. Marx and socialist thinkers have left the definition of socialism intentionally vague so that the ideology itself manages to persist despite the constant failures we observe every time it is proven to be nonsense through theory and logic, and every time we observe it failing and subjecting countless people to starvation and meager living. There is no such thing as "true" socialism. It's a fantasy world. A fever dream. It doesn't fucking exist as described, cannot and will not.

It is not an attempt at socialism if the means of production are not owned by the workers.
End of story, its scum using the name socialism to fill their pockets.

If i take over a country and call it a democracy then shoot anyone who runs against me, is it a democracy just because i said it is?
For it to be socialism it has to actually be socialism, and the definition is quite clear.

In other words: Democracy is a failed system. Sadam Houssein and Kim Jong-un are the perfect proof of that.
