Races =/= subspecies tho, all races of modern humans are the same subspecies under current taxonomy
According the leevee there are ethnicities, profiling, but it only becomes anathema when you group ethnicities that share common genetic markers into broader races, which makes no logical sense to me.
This is different from the gender debate. By incorrectly assigning races to our species, you imply that the differences are big enough to warrant that term. In any sane biologist's book, this is not the case.
The reason why it's an issue is because it's a trick used (subconsciously perhaps) by white supremacists and the like: they first state that there's race A and race B, then start describing exaggerated differences between those races. If they'd accept that there are no biological races, they would not be able to claim that the differences are so significant either.
