There is no denying there are subspecies within the human race, thats just nature. Each has its own set of particular genetic predispositions but that doesn't guarantee a person is going to entrapped to those predispositions. Some of our brightest minds in science and industry happen to be black while some of the biggest idiots on this earth are asian. This can be said about members of every other race.

You can call it racism and I guess it technically is racism to believe there are certain dispositions but I don't believe racism is the issue, its discrimination and favoritism based on race where the problems lie.

Races =/= subspecies tho, all races of modern humans are the same subspecies under current taxonomy

According the leevee there are ethnicities, profiling, but it only becomes anathema when you group ethnicities that share common genetic markers into broader races, which makes no logical sense to me.

Because you can get more done by getting groups of other people to do it for you than by doing it yourself.

For practical purposes, the ability to understand and augment interpersonal relationships is among the most important skill a human can have in regards to any form of success, as a species that is so crucially dependent on social functions and trades; basically everything we do is social to some extent, being able to read minds is among the most valuable skills one can have in virtually every sphere of life.

From an ethicall perspective, if ethics is about making people's lives more good and less bad, knowing how to identify and create good and bad states of mind is the most fundamental requisite skill.

This is different from the gender debate. By incorrectly assigning races to our species, you imply that the differences are big enough to warrant that term. In any sane biologist's book, this is not the case.

The reason why it's an issue is because it's a trick used (subconsciously perhaps) by white supremacists and the like: they first state that there's race A and race B, then start describing exaggerated differences between those races. If they'd accept that there are no biological races, they would not be able to claim that the differences are so significant either.
