Of course, you're 100% correct. Though when NK and China did get along, NK got loaded up with weapons. I think China is one of the largest reasons why NK hasn't bombed the USA or some Euro country yet.

I think the US should just attack immediately with as much force as they can and take over the country and arrest or kill Kim Jong right away.

a country that is hold by a single leader easily falls apart when you take out the leader.. just like Saddam Hussein in Iraq.

If it was this simple, it would have done many many years ago.

There is geopolitical factors at play. North Korea is ultimately just a chess piece on the chessboard for the 2 regional players which is China and the US.

Also at least to this point, we have honored South Korea's wishes to keep the conflict from escalating to war at almost all costs.

The DPRK is developing nukes and ICBMs precisely because China won't give them the best toys, I have no idea what he's on about
right now the DPRK nuclear program is a huge threat to Seoul. Not to california, and not to 20 targets with pinpoint precision in the US lmao

I was recruited by the secret service when I was 20, worked as a lobbyist on Capitol Hill with John Kerry, studied foreign policy through college and I've been involved in government contracts for the rest of my career. Certainly not an expert on North Korean militarization and relations with the USA, but I mean I've been around the "scene" a bit to know.
