Nukes are not an effective weapon against naval targets. See crossroads-able. If the north koreans managed to get solid coordinates on a carrier group - already an extreme challenge against naval operations - and then managed to bypass the interceptors, so needing a steep angle and thus worse previous problem - then they could take out a single carrier and some support ships with a well aimed shot, or else just disable a carrier and get it towed home and repaired. And of course, if you could jump through all those hurdles, you could just hit the carrier with conventional payloads, albeit needing to be more accurate, but either way, it would result in a dent in american naval power and the prompt radical landscaping resulting in the bay of freedom seen on the previous page
so no, DPRK is doing what it always does, endlessly sabre rattle and posture
have you ever considered the possibility that North Korea would use their nukes to target something other than ships?
