I would have accepted the voucher and got off the plane long before law enforcement got involved or offered to get off in his place. you're only seeing what the outraged self-righteous virtue-signaling female with the iphone wanted you to see. The airline has to stay on schedule and the passenger refused to voluntarily get off and no one else offered to get off in his place. He only has himself to blame for acting like a child.

How does his past medical history / education have any relevancy to the "law enforcement" actions that day?
I understand he was requested to get off the plane and he was being a big baby. So UA called LE to come take him out, they do that all the time.
But slamming a passengers head / breaking their glasses, cutting their lip, dragging them on across the airplane's floor is not a reasonable force for someone just being a big baby sitting in their seat. If he was jumping around acting like a wild billy goat hitting passengers and flailing his arms, then that's a different story
