My progress has been halted from my health, but I chug along slowly. I actually do it for enjoyment and not just vanity so I'm always testing out different things with my programming and lifting.
Does your friend take out the stretch shortening cycle from his bench? I could do plenty more if I lifted like an average lifter.
Also that's 135 with 5 sets and not allowing to recover through rest. My 1rm isn't 135.
