These are big goals. Sometimes it's important to stay realistic. But if you really want to add 5 pounds to your max bench then you're going to need to eat a minimum of 25,000 calories per day. Make sure to eat 10 grams of protein per your pound of body weight and distribute that 25,000 daily caloric intake into 12-15 evenly spaced meals per day.

Also take steroids.

Using this way of thinking to treat an injury caused by a muscular imbalance or poor joint mechanics (Which most issues of chronic muscular pain are associated with) will only make the problem worse.
