Esport ready!

Yeah. They did 4 rounds of solos yesterday. First 2 went smooth, I actually enjoyed watching them(despite the casters never highlighting the gunfights. They'd always be highlighting someone and people would die and we never saw the action. So really only got to see the last 20 kills. And it was all aerial views, not actual player views which I didn't like). Then there was a massive delay between 2 & 3 and the same thing ended up happening. Really unfortunate cause I enjoy watching competitive for it. But they haven't had really good luck yet lol

The last restart every team was fully looted up and in their positions for the final circle and they had to restart.

What a crazy first game. Also it's raining so hard here in Atlanta the roof of the convention center is leaking. Holding 2nd game a bit.

You have to remember that it's far different than most other esport games. H1 has 60+ players at once that have to spawn in and not have any issues in these tournys

All the other esport games only have 4-6 players per team, so only 8-12 people that have to connect without any issues.

But yea the last two solo games took like 4 hours yesterday. That was awful.

Even with that above in mind, I still don't think it's an esport ready game. There's way too much RNG and luck involved for it to be a highly competitive game. There's barely any skill gap currently.

The disconnects and restarts just add into that even more. One of the solo games yesterday, a guy was like the first person to die, but they had to restart the game. He won the next game after restart.

I feel there is a pretty nice skill gap tbh.

H1Z1 you have to play a lot to be good imo, that's not the case with PUB.

There's a skill gap, it's just not a big one. A shitty player can kill a pro player fairly often. It's all because of the meta with AR full spray atm. This next major update that's going to come out, it should be increasing the skill gap a big amount. We'll see though.

You absolutely have to play a lot. You have to get used to the bullet travel and drop. Get used to movements etc, but the current meta is just to full spray AR at people. There's very little recoil on the AR currently and bad players will just click mouse 1 as fast as they can. It only takes 4 body shots to kill somebody and you can laser people so fast.

People who try to aim their shots and get 2 taps are being punished because bad players can laser you with 4 shots in a literal second.
